About the SCIBOTS Program

The Curriculum - We utilize curriculum designed by renowned robotics institutions, such as the Robotics Academy at the Carnegie Mellon University, the Robotics Educator Projects by NASA, Tufts University, and numerous other enthusiastic robotics communities.

The majority of our exercises are conducted with the LEGO® MINDSTORMS Robotics Technology and the software ROBOLAB as the learning tools.

Robotics is inherently multi-disciplinary. Not only does it cover S.T.E.M., it also extends into the realm of invaluable skills such as communication, research, writing, project management, strategic and analytical thinking.

These activities and others provide students the opportunity to develop key skills, to explore their own world and the world outside the SCIBOTS classroom. Students will cultivate a sense of pride in their creations while gaining personal fulfillment and, just as importantly have FUN! SCIBOTS challenges children to work to the peak of their abilities as they gain new knowledge and skills.

Group Size - Group size is limited to maximum of 8 students, this ensures more personal instruction in a guided, interactive environment.
Part of the tremendous value of robotics for students is teamwork. It is an ineffective method to have a student work alone. Participants will work in teams of two. There will be one computer available for each team. Be prepared for lots of brainstorming, strategizing together, and sharing of ideas!

Age Group - Our curriculum is ideal for 8 to 14 years old; at this time we feel these ages can work together easily with little differentiation of lesson plans.

If you have a group of students that are outside this age group, please contact us for program availability.

We also work with adult groups as a Company team building experience.
We provide complex, mind-challenging robotics activities which may require complex programming logic even for college level students. Our programs include an advanced level, which guarantees a bundle of technical challenges and fun for the more advanced students.

The challenges are virtually endless.
