Chip Gibson - A graduate of Auburn University’s School of Industrial Design, he studied human factors engineering as an undergraduate. His graduate studies at Auburn included the use of technology in the study of ecology.
Now a High School Science teacher in Fayette County, he is currently teaching AP Physics and AP Environmental Science at Sandy Creek High School. He has lectured for the Georgia High School Science Teacher’s convention at the University of Georgia in Athens, on “Technology and Computer Simulations in the classroom”.
Chip has a great deal of experience in the use of technology. As a U.S. Marine F/A-18 aviator and graduate of the prestigious U.S. Navy Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN), he was tasked to develop a joint curriculum for NASA to provide basic flight training to astronaut candidates.
Possessing a passion for science and learning, he believes in empowering students to become goal oriented and self-motivated problem solvers and learners.
